I recently purchased a new technical poling skiff for fishing the backwaters around Hilton Head, SC. This is a very shallow drafting boat made by Fly Boatworks. Thus far I am very pleased with her performance and ability to get into areas that I have wanted to venture into for years…and am sure that very few other boats can go! Not only does this boat float super shallow but is also a dream to pole, sits very stable at rest and has virtually no hull slap! Moreover, with both rear poling and front casting platforms the elevated views ensure that we will be able to see fish from a long way off!
